The Peninsula High School English Curriculum:
- Adheres to the Content Standards for Instruction of the State of California
- Includes all the standard assessments of San Mateo Union High School District
- Supports students with individualized instruction toward a successful transition to post-high school pathways of college and career.
Peninsula High School students participate in:
- The Peninsula High School Literary Magazine
- The Puma Page, our school newspaper
- The Laws of Life writing contest sponsored by the San Mateo Boys and Girls Club ( Peninsula students are featured at the annual Winners’ Breakfast)
- The Omega Boys Club poetry/flow/speech contest (winners recited their poetry on KMEL radio)
- Various poetry contests and poetry slams
