Career Technical Education (CTE)
Career Technical Education (CTE) is a program of study that involves a multiyear sequence of courses that integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers.
The mission of the Career Technical Education Department is to prepare a diverse population for further education, employment and occupational changes.
As a result of this mission, students at the completion of their CTE experience will:
- Acquire occupational knowledge and skills
- Demonstrate appropriate workplace skills and behaviors
- Attain job acquisition skills with an awareness of career options and lifelong learning opportunities.
The CTE Department offers courses and opportunities for students where they will develop in a supportive nurturing environment and obtain real world experience.
